Undergraduates Present @ NCUR2017 & NC State's UG Research Symposium

Undergraduates in Dr. Jacque Cole’s lab recently presented at the 31st Annual National Conference on Undergraduate Research in Memphis, TN, on April 6-8.

  • Michael Ashburn (BME sophomore, Abrams Scholar) - The effects of obesity on bone-promoting endothelial cells in mouse tibiae (poster).

  • Elizabeth Easter (MSE senior, OUR Fall and Spring grant recipient 2016-2017) - Validating laser Doppler flowmetry for in vivo longitudinal measurements of bone blood perfusion (poster).

  • Sriharsha Pinnamaraju (BME senior, OUR Fall and Spring grant recipient 2016-2017) - Characterizing trabecular bone microarchitecture in murine bone post-stroke using micro-computed tomography (poster).

  • Sophia Tushak (BME sophomore, Abrams Scholar) - Contributions of mechanical unloading to neonatal brachial plexus injury in rats (talk).

Elizabeth Easter also received one of the top presentation awards given at the Undergraduate Research Symposium on April 12.
